Good Cafe is more than just a restaurant; it’s a family legacy born out of a profound need for delicious, health-conscious dining. As someone who has navigated the challenges of dairy allergies since the age of five and Celiac disease since twenty-eight, I understand the struggles of finding safe and satisfying meals. My journey has shaped a lifelong commitment to healthy eating and inspired the creation of Good Cafe—a haven for those who seek nourishing, gluten-free, and dairy-free cuisine.

Our story begins with a deep love for family and California, drawing inspiration from cherished trips to visit family in Los Angeles and Monterey. My favorite LA restaurants, Hugo's and Green Tomato Grill, have significantly influenced our menu and approach, blending innovation with wholesome ingredients. Additionally, the unique and vibrant atmosphere of the Power Plant coffee shop in Monterey inspired the ambiance and community feel we strive to create at Good Cafe.

Good Cafe is a family endeavor, managed by my son and inspired by my , mother, sisters, and brothers. Our family’s bond and shared vision are the heart of our cafe. My sister's vegan lifestyle and my extensive research into healthy eating ensure that our menu caters to various dietary needs, offering vibrant and delicious options for everyone.

Before my father passed away, he gifted each of us a copy of The China Study, a book that underscores the importance of a healthy diet. This gesture was his way of encouraging us to live healthier lives, and it profoundly impacted our family. His legacy and my parents' clothing store, named after me, are integral to the spirit of Good Cafe. This project is my tribute to them, a way to honor their influence and support throughout my life.

At Good Cafe, we are committed to quality and sustainability. We use only the finest extra virgin olive oil and pink Himalayan salt, and many of our ingredients are organic. Our goal is to create a welcoming environment where health-conscious individuals can enjoy meals that are both nourishing and delicious.

Anthony, 20, is embarking on his first job here at Good Cafe. His enthusiasm and dedication are truly inspiring. Anthony aspires to become a family physician, driven by a desire to help others lead healthier lives. His interest in health and wellness aligns perfectly with our cafe’s mission, and he brings a fresh perspective to our team. Anthony's commitment to his future career is evident in his meticulous approach to customer service and his eagerness to learn everything about our gluten-free and dairy-free offerings. He’s a wonderful addition to our team, and we’re excited to support him on his journey to medical school.

Char

Char, 32, is a devoted mother of two and a passionate team member at Good Cafe. With aspirations of becoming a business owner herself, Char brings invaluable experience and a nurturing spirit to our cafe. Her ability to balance the demands of motherhood while pursuing her career goals is truly admirable. Char's dedication to providing excellent service and her knack for creating a welcoming atmosphere make her an integral part of our team. Her entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to excellence inspire us all, and we’re proud to have her as a part of the Good Cafe family.
